Hi Guy, all, I am afraid I have some bad news: To my great shame, I have to confess that I mistyped a command last night, and as a result, my slides are gone. I've tried all night to restore them (searching raw hard disk blocks), but it seems they're gone for good - I've been trying to restore them for most of the night, but I wasn't successful. I realise that that comes at the worst possible time, and I'm most terribly sorry. I guess my only excuse is that it's been too much over the past couple of days, weeks and months. If you think it makes sense, I'm more than happy to start from scratch, but it's sure as hell that I won't have anything for the 10:30 meeting today. I realise that this doesn't show me in the best light. But it happened, and what's done is done. Again, I'm most terribly sorry, and will understand any steps you feel are neccessary. Is er nog iemand op Nikhef direct betrokken geweest bij de recente LHCb-paper over Z(4430)-? Ik vraag me met name af of het klopt wat ik her en der lees, dat deze tetraquark-achtige moeilijker uit te leggen is in termen is van twee gebonden mesonen vanwege de massa. Kun je de massa van andere van dit soort toestanden dan wel altijd zien als het sommetje van twee mesonmassa's? Zo simpel zit het vast niet... En is Z(4430)- daarmee een intrigerendere toestand dan eerdere X/Y/Z-deeltje? Plus: wat is in het algemeen het idee na deze paper? De sigma is in elk geval voor deze enorm; 'dat piekje gaat wel weer weg' zeggen à la de pentaquark in 2005 lijkt dus niet meer op te gaan.
