Dear Colleagues,
The Search Committee received a considerable amount of feedback on the
initial list of candidates for the new Physics Coordinator - thank you
all for your valuable input. It turned out that all candidates were well
supported, giving the committee a hard time when trying to fulfill the
aim of the constitution of a maximum of 4 candidates. Those who will
stand for election are
Greig Cowan
Ulrik Egede
Jonas Rademacker
Marie-Hélène Schune
Many thanks to Tom Blake and Albert Puig for standing in the initial round.
The candidates are now busy writing their manifestos and we will make
them, and their CVs, available to the collaboration after *** May 12th
***.
Please note that the public discussion with the Physics Coordinator
Candidates will take place at CERN on
*** Thursday, May 18th at 11:30am (CET) ***
Vidyo will be available for this discussion (details to come later). We
aim to take questions from those present at CERN and those on vidyo. If
you prefer to ask a question anonomously, please send me your question
in advance of the public discussion, and I will make sure it is asked on
your behalf.
Please note that we are currently checking the electronic voting system,
and will let you know the election procedure well in advance of the
vote, which will take place during the period *** 1st-8th June ***. The
outcome will be ratified at the following Collaboration Board Meeting on
*** June 14th ***.
Best wishes,
Val
on behalf of the Physics Coordinator Search Committee
