Hi all,
Here are the replies from the Lambda_b proponents. They addressed our
comments. We also had one physics comment:
> Physics: We are very surprised that the observation of P asymmetry in
> Lb->Lcpi is only reported in the supplementary material. There has
> never been P violation seen in Lb decays. Why not report it? Adding a

Generally it's fine that one comes back to that in a later publication,
though I doubt it will be a "few" months. The risk that some theorist
makes big claims is rather low in that case (P violation in weak baryon
decays, so what? That was already seen in 1956). So I suggest not to
follow up.
Cheers,
Patrick

Hi all,
This paper is assigned to us, with deadline tomorrow.
https://cds.cern.ch/record/2200803
I paste here my comments. Please let me know if someone else was looking
at it, so we can merge comments. Else I'll submit tomorrow.
Dear Xabier, Cédric, Murilo,
Here are my comments on the paper.
L.2: say why it is interesting.
L.3: spell out SM. events -> cross-sections (or production)
L:5: large momentum fraction of what?
L.8: suggest to add some space between + and bb (or cc)
L.22-35: This is too detailed for an introduction. At this level the
reader does not want to know which flavour of BDT you used. This section
could be moved to a separate section 3 and shortened here.
L.23: extract -> determine
L.33: cross-sections
L.44: (natural units are used with c=1)
L.76: The same
L.78: max in roman
L.104: I fail to understand this sentence
L.111: I suggest to apply my suggestion to the CONF of using \ell to
mean e or mu
L.135: Fig. 1
L.142: is is
L.171: extraction -> determination
L.172. Why binned? And a fit to what?
L.175: considering -> assuming that
L.178: to the expected yields assuming the SM
L.184: Wilks'
Table 1: just -> only
Fig.2: remove "data"
L.190-191: this is not a sentence
L.193: "matched with a beauty/charm quark" sounds odd. Tagged as beauty
or charm?
L.195: in Table 2
L.196: in Figure 6.
Fig.2 and 3: W+bb and tt are indistinguishable in BW. Use
colorbrewer2.org to define your colour scheme.
L.200: add lumi uncertainty.
L.201: collaboration.
L.205+ : use align environment.
References:
- Take all LHCb refs from template
- Add collaboration wherever needed
[9] Use correct title from paper
Cheers,
Patrick
