I am afraid I have some bad news: To my great shame, I have to confess that I mistyped a command last night, and as a result, my slides are gone. I've tried all night to restore them (searching raw hard disk blocks), but it seems they're gone for good - I've been trying to restore them for most of the night, but I wasn't successful. I realise that that comes at the worst possible time, and I'm most terribly sorry. I guess my only excuse is that it's been too much over the past couple of days, weeks and months.
If you think it makes sense, I'm more than happy to start from scratch, but it's sure as hell that I won't have anything for the 10:30 meeting today.
I realise that this doesn't show me in the best light. But it happened, and what's done is done. Again, I'm most terribly sorry, and will understand any steps you feel are neccessary.
