Dear all,

Here are my comments on the Omega_b paper. Unfortunately I can't attend the Fri afternoon meeting. Feel free to edit if you disagree.

I have hardly any comment:

L.13 and following : Use \Lz to get slanted Lambdas
L.60-61: You could use Xb and Xc here. The proton should be \proton
L.67-71: This is a nice (though somewhat wordy) way of defining the associated PV. Could it make the template?
Fig.1: We find BDT distributions very boring and suggest this goes to add material. But a pKKpi mass distribution would be useful.
L.97: S/sqrt(S+B) is only the expected stat significant in with B~infinity, which is not your case. Just say you optimise S/sqrt(S+B)
Eq.1 and paragraph below: CB should be in roman
L.129 and following: Omega* should be slanted.
L.142: tgenphasespace is hard to read. Add some uppercase letters as appropriate. But is there a need to say what has been used? Phase-space is not rocket science.
Eq.4: why gamma? I first thought it has something to do with Lorentz boosts.
Fig.5: some way of showing bin boundaries would be useful. Are the points placed according to the Lafferty prescription?
L.210: Happy to see that the -0.38\pm0.28 deviation is applied correctly. Not always the case in LHCb.
[35] will not help me to learn anything about what you did. It's just there to give citation to René and Fons (which is legit). Maybe one could add the website.

Cheers,

Patrick

Hi Tjeerd,

I will volunteer for the angle gamma paper.
Since the agenda is indeed too full I propose to have the discussion of the two papers:

13h30 - 13h50 : Angle gamma - Marcel
13h50 - 14h10 : Omega-b mass & lifetime - ??

cheers,
- Marcel
