Physics: L.100: S/sqrt(S+B) is not a significance. Call it a figure of merit if you need a name. How have you determined S? You say "expected". Expected how?
General:
Line-by-line: Abstract: Do you examine the phase space? We would say the Dalitz plane. L.4: The footnote placement is very unfortunate. L.6: It is unclear why you cut the dibaryon into [cd][ud][ud]. Your analysis should not depend on or assume any internal structure. We suggest you write "Such states could manifest via the decay \Lb->pbarDC (no +), where Dc is a cdudud dibaryon state with mass... L.18: Here we expect a sentence on the dataset you analyse. L.42: Remove "Candidate" here to avoid confusion with candidate Lb later. You could write "Selected events" L.46: you write signal here, but we presume this also applied to your control mode. L.58: pt is already used in L.33 L.68: use gender-neutral language. We call this a companion in LHCb papers. L.72: the \Lb vertex. L.81: remove "again" L.84: when both following conditions L.97: from candidates with mass above L.100: see above under Physics L.130: candidates -> decays (they are not candidates any longer) L.131, 176: extract -> determine. Br -> {\br BR} L.135: total should be in roman L.138: remove roughly Eq.1: all subscripts should be in roman L.159: ... where the uncertainty is statistical only (?). L.164-5: suddenly "we" L.211, 233, 284: statistics -> sample size L.249: we again Fig.2: The inset does not convey much information. It's just harder to read because of the finer binning. Make this an supplementary plot. L.269: {\rm BW} L.272, 278: add resonance after Sigma_c Figure.3: y axis: this is background subtracted, so not candidates. We suggest "entries" or yield. Caption: You should define what "surrounding" means. L.311: using data corresponding to 3\invfb Fig.5: The distance between y labels and legend is too small. Use a BW-friendly palette. This plot is unreadable in BW. You could also use "Box" as we did in paper 2014-020.
