Dear all,

following up on the mail below, Eddy and I placed two breathalysers in each CERN car, as requested by Frence law since July 2012.

The main purpose of this action was to prevent that users of our cars at CERN may be fined by the French police. If for any reason you end up actually using a breathalyser, please replace it with a new one.

P.S. Incidentally, in the process of placing the breathalysers in the two CERN Peugeots, I learned that I will never entrust any valuable property to any of our guys in Bldg. 13, since both cars had been displaced under their nose by the CERN parking service (piping work on one side and parking-stripes painting on the other) and none of them took notice, so a week ago Chiara had to look for the Peugeot 3726 and today I had to call the CERN parking service to locate the 3956!?

Dear all,

As you may already know, as from  1 July 2012, any driver of a motorised road vehicle in France must be in possession of a breathalyser in full working order.

Please note  that drivers of vehicles belonging to or leased by the Organization may obtain breathalysers by completing a material request in EDH using the reference number 50.64.03.001.6.
