Dear Friends,
This afternoon at 14h30 we have in N328 a seminar of Tom Blake, a postdoc applicant for our group. "Search for New Physics with the Rare Heavy Flavour Decay \BdKsmm"
The abstract is: The rare decay \BdKsmm is widely acknowledged to be one of the most promising channels for indirect searches for new physics. Recent results from \babar, Belle and CDF have generated much excitement, where each experiment observes a wrong sign angular symmetry compared to the Standard Model prediction. LHCb's sensitivity to this decay is explored based on our knowledge from the 2010 data taking period. It will be shown that LHCb is in a strong position to make a world leading measurement with the data expected in 2011.
Hope to see you there, - Marcel
Hi Marcel,

Hope to see you there,
Will there be EVO? I would like to join.
Cheers, Roel
Hi Roel,
My apologies for causing possible confusion on this. For bfys meetings where candidates apply for a (postdoc) position I did not want to broadcast an EVO session. Although these EVO sessions can be protected with passwords, I think it is more "chique" towards the candidate if he can see the full audience in the room. To be clear: this is only since these talks were part of a job-application. For other meetings we are happy (even eager) to make a video link.
best regards, - Marcel
