I would like to inform you that the end of security support of the following products: - glite 3.2 glite-WN - glite 3.2 glite-UI

is extended by the EMI project from April 30 2012 to September 30 2012.

Purpose of this extension is allow more time to sites and VOs to fully assess the impact of the replacement of glite 3.2 WN/UI with versions from EMI 1 or EMI 2. The EMI 2 release is currently scheduled on April 30 2012.

No upgrade path is provided from gLite 3.2 to EMI 1/EMI 2. EMI releases depend on the EPEL repository, which is incompatible with the DAG repository used in gLite 3.2.

VOs are requested to engage with sites and NGIs so that this change is properly tested. Various testbed facilities are available (from the EMI project and from NGIs). Please contact the EGI Operations Support Unit in GGUS if you need help.

Problems need to be reported in GGUS. Issues and findings will be periodically discussed at the Monday fortnightly operations meetings: https://wiki.egi.eu/wiki/Grid_Operations_Meetings (participation is open).
