Today I tried to pay my registration fee and found the "click here to complete your registration" link on my initial confirmation link did not work (*). I could not do a duplicate registration as the website complains that there is already a registrant with that email address, so I registered a second time with a different email but the same details otherwise. Using the second registration I paid. I would like all the email correspondence to go to my CERN address (this address), so please delete my second registration, but note that I paid (using the second registration as I had no other option). [Sqm2017] request for rearrangement of topics over accepted ALICE talks at SQM

Dear organizers of SQM, thank you for your recent notifications concerning the acceptance of abstracts submitted by the ALICE Collaboration for oral presentation in the parallel sessions of the upcoming SQM conference. We are converging on the list of speakers for the accepted ALICE talks right now, and the abstracts are being prepared for those talks that are the result of the merging of originally submitted ALICE abstracts as requested by you. Concerning the requested abstract merging we agree with your proposals in general, but there are two talks for which we would like to propose a different distribution of physics topics over the accepted talks. Originally, you have proposed to merge the abstracts [55, 93, 94] (Lambda/Kaon ratio (inclusive and in jets) and multi-strange particle production in Pb-Pb collisions) and [57, 84] (identified hadron spectra and flow in Pb-Pb collisions). We propose to slightly re-shuffle the topics discussed in the accepted two talks in the following way: * one talk composed of the original abstracts [55, 57, 84a] focusing on vn, pT spectra, Lambda/Kaon ratio (also in jets), which discusses hydro and recombination * a second talk containing the original abstracts [93, 94, 84b] including Kaon, Lambda, XI, and Omega production which focuses on integrated yields and thermal model comparisons This proposed redistribution of topics is neutral in terms of the number of ALICE presentations (two talks are replaced by two other talks with slightly redistributed content), and we are confident that you agree with us that this sub-division of topics allows for a more efficient presentation of the relevant ALICE results. Dear organizers of Strangeness in Quark Matter 2017, Please find below the abstract merged from "A Novel Heavy Quark Diffusion Coefficient Derivation from AdS/CFT" with ID #142 and "AdS/CFT predictions for partonic and fragmented momentum, azimuthal, and rapidity correlations of heavy flavors in heavy ion collisions" with ID #144. __________ *Heavy flavor energy loss from AdS/CFT: A novel diffusion coefficient derivation and its predictions* We present a new derivation of the heavy quark diffusion coefficient in a strongly-coupled plasma using the AdS/CFT correspondence. Our main result is that, unlike some previous calculations, our diffusion coefficient does not increase with heavy quark velocity: we find that the effect of momentum fluctuations smoothly interpolates between light and heavy flavors. Taking our diffusion coefficient derivation as fundamental, we use the fluctuation-dissipation theorem to predict a strong-coupling heavy quark drag that is slightly different from the original calculations of Gubser and Herzog et al. We then show recent numerical work that supports some of the key assumptions in our analytic derivation. Incorporating our novel heavy flavor drag and diffusion into an energy loss model, we compare with pQCD predictions of Nahrgang et al. at the partonic level, and with data from LHC for heavy flavor observables. While our predictions are in good agreement with the data from LHC, the partonic momentum correlations exhibit an order of magnitude difference in low momentum correlations to the pQCD calculations. We thus propose heavy flavor momentum correlations as a distinguishing observable of weakly- and strongly-coupled energy loss mechanisms.
