On behalf of organizing committee of TIPP 2014 conference, I have a pleasure to invite you to be a co-chair of the TIPP session (3b) on

Data-processing: Trigger and Data Acquisition Systems

TIPP 2014 is the third conference in the new series of international conferences on detector and instrumentation under the auspices of IUPAP. The conference will focus on all areas of detector development and instrumentation in particle physics, astro-particle physics and closely related fields, and will be held in Amsterdam from 2 to 6 June 2014. As a co-chair we ask you

• to perform abstracts selection for both talks and posters (abstract deadline is Jan 31, 2014, selection to be made before Feb 15, 2014)
• to chair the session
• to review submitted papers/proceedings (one set of comments for 5-10 papers)

The particular focus of the session we ask you to chair is : "Electronics and software for event triggering and data acquisition. Examples include level 1 and 2 trigger systems for collider experiments, data acquisition systems based on xTCA, tracking trigger systems, and higher level trigger processor farms."
