Dear TIPP2014 organizers,
as you can see in the email below I had submitted an abstract to the internal CMS call for abstracts. However, the abstract had not been processed by CMS, but I understand from the email below that Kajari Mazumdar had been in contact with you about submitting the abstract. Unfortunately I was away on travel and things got further delayed. As I can not submit the abstract online any more I'm including it here.
Thanks,
Anders Ryd
Title:Proposed FPGA based tracking for a Level-1 track triggering at CMS for the HL-LHC
Abstract: The High Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) is expected to deliver luminosities of 5x10^34 cm^2/s, with an average of about 140 overlapping proton-proton collisions per bunch crossing. These extreme pileup conditions place stringent requirements on the trigger system to be able to cope with the resulting event rates. A key component of the CMS upgrade for HL-LHC is a track trigger system which would identify tracks with transverse momentum above 2 GeV already at the first-level trigger within 5 us. This presentation will discuss a proposed track finding and fitting based on the "tracklet based approach" implemented on FPGAs. Tracklets are formed from pairs of hits in nearby layers in the detector. The tracklets are used to define roads where matching hits are added to form the full Level 1 tracks. Results from simulations will be presented together with progress on implementation of the algorithm on hardware.

Dear Anders,
I have to apologize for a slip on my part regarding the abstract you submitted on CINCO for TIPP conference. I was extremely busy on the personal front and did not take timely action.
The organizers are kind enough and have allowed the abstracts to be submitted immediately since the session programmes are being finalized.
Now I have 2 points to make. Please *get it approved from the corresponding POG (before submission)* and nominate a speaker including yourself.
Please keep me informed. Kind regards -- kajari
Dear conference organizers,
I did yet get any response to the email below; could you please let me know what the status is.
Thanks,
Anders
