available to us we will update the downtime description here:

Dear gLite users,
SECURITY UPDATE 01 for gLite 3.2 is now ready for production use.
The priority of the update is: HIGH
Please note that for security updates we are following a simplified release
process, and it's really important to read the release notes carefully before
applying the update. In particular, in this update, we are NOT releasing new
metapackages for each affected service, and a manual installation of the RPM
is needed.
The highlights of the update are:
- New YAIM post-configuration function for BDII
All details of the update can be found in:
http://glite.cern.ch/security_updates
Remember to report any issues with this set of updates using GGUS:

The gLite Release Team and Mario David EGI TSA1.3

Dear gLite users,
A new version of lcg-vomscerts has been released for gLite 3.1.
lcg-vomscerts 6.8.0 adds next cert for lcg-voms.cern.ch and
removes old certs for cclcgvomsli01.in2p3.fr and vo.racf.bnl.gov
The rpm is available in the gLite 3.1 yum repositories of:
* glite-FTS_oracle
* glite-WMS
Please note that the repository of the lcg-CE IS NOT going
to be updated with this version of lcg-vomscerts.
The lcg-CE no longer needs lcg-vomscerts when it has
been configured correctly. i.e. when for each supported VO a directory
/etc/grid-security/vomsdir/<vo> contains a "*.lsc" file for each of
its VOMS servers.
YAIM handles that automatically, see the "VO_<vo-name>_VOMSES" and
"VO_<vo-name>_VOMS_CA_DN" variables in the YAIM documentation:
https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/Site-info_configuration_variables
To update just the lcg-vomscerts rpm:
yum update lcg-vomscerts
For other node types, or sites that do not use yum or YAIM, the rpm is
available here:
http://eticssoft.web.cern.ch/eticssoft/repository/org.glite/lcg-vomscerts/6…
Best regards,
The gLite Release Team

Dear all,
EMI is considering options for the consolidation of the current range of
information system Clients that will eventually preserve and integrate all
the most sought after services. In order to define the development strategy
and harmonize the constituent products, EMI needs feedback from the EGI
communities.
A workshop to fully explore the requirements for the information system is to
be facilitated by EGI on December the 1st: "Towards an Integrated Information
System". A survey has been set up to collect initial input - about the
information system topic - to help focus the workshop presentations and
discussions on the users perspective.
The information system clients considered in the survey are:
* lcg-info, lcg-infosites
* ARC lib
* UNICORE cli
* SAGA SD API/CLI
You can contribute to the survey following this link:
http://www.zoomerang.com/Survey/WEB22DQ2N44GSN/
We will be very grateful if you will be able to answer within 10 days (by
November 20th), but it will remain open until the end of the month to collect
as many contributions as possible.
Thanks in advance for your contribution.
Peter Solagna - Operations Officer, EGI.eu
Please, feel free to contact me for any question.
