Beste gridders, Na bijna 5 jaar is per 31 december j.l. het EGI InSPIRE-project geeindigd. Dat betekent dat jullie je uren niet meer op de urencodes 40233 t/m 40236 hoeven te schrijven. Kies in plaats daarvan voor SURF e-infrastructuur operations (40244) of SURF e-infrastructuur S&D (40245). Dank! Arjen

Beste tijdschrijvers op EGI InSPIRE, Per 1 mei is het 4de projectjaar van EGI inSPIRE afgelopen. Ik moet dan weer kort daarna de balans van het hele projectjaar opmaken (1 mei 2013 - 1 mei 2014). Beste grid-schrijvers, Vanaf 1 januari 2013 moet er niet meer op de urencodes van BiG Grid worden geschreven. Dus geen gebruik meer maken van codes 40226 t/m 40230. In plaats daarvan zijn er twee nieuwe urencodes gemaakt: - 40244 SURF e-Infrastructuur operations - 40245 SURF e-Infrastructuur S&D Gaarne deze nieuwe codes gebruiken! Groet, Arjen

Hi all, this Thursday there'll be another Netherlands Hadoop User Group (NL-HUG) meetup. We're meeting at 5pm at Polder, talks start around 6pm. Pizza and drinks are on us! We have more than 40 registrations so far, with lots of science park locals and BiG Grid Hadoop users. Before the meetup Common Crawl director Lisa Green will give a talk on Open Data in general, and specifically on the common crawl web data repository. Her talk starts at 3.30pm and lasts an hour.
