We are pleased to inform you of two new developments with regards to the CERN hostels.

ONLINE Booking of CERN Hostel accommodation

The first is the possibility to book directly yourself your room in the hostel online via the web. Reservations may only be made max. 2 months in advance and for a maximum stay of 2 months. *ONLY those people who are correctly registered with CERN and eligible to stay in the hostel will be able to login using their NICE password and make a reservation. * *(hostel booking rules https://espace.cern.ch/hostel-service/Wiki%20Pages/Booking%20Rules.aspx). * * * *You will be asked to give credit card details to confirm your reservation and may cancel up to 48 hours before arrival.*

People (e.g. a student group) who are not registered with CERN may still reserve directly via the Hostel reception (cern.hostel@cern.ch).

We will continue to keep the block bookings for the next ATLAS and Physics weeks however it is our intention to phase out these bookings as guests become more familiar with the system.

ONLINE SUPERMARKET for CERN Hostel

A basic online supermarket has been put in place. This is ONLY for residents of the hostel. Again it requires a nice login and will check if you are registered as a guest at the hostel. If you place your order before 11h, you can collect it in Restaurant 1 at the cash till between 10h and 11h the following day. This is perfect for people who have no time or perhaps transport to carry heavy items from the local shops and also offers the possibility to buy simple items to cook meals in the hostel kitchen.

We hope you will find these two new offers useful and that they will make the busy lives of many of you a little bit easier. Thanks to the CERN Hostel team for their continued efforts in improving the life of Users at CERN.
