[Tipp2014-loc] problems with registration?

Hi guys, perhaps I should have sent this mail to tipp2014-loc(a)nikhef.nl instead than Leo et al., but could somebody with sufficient Indico "power" look into this? Apparently prof. Sheldon Stone and Marina Artuso seem not to be able to register... Hierbij even kort de notulen van onze vergadering "young phycisist programme" - Joris heeft vertelt over de plannen van de studenten voor de PhD's en post-docs. - Erg leuk en veel goede ideeen. Zijn presentatie komt in de google drive te staan als referentie. Abstracts - We hebben 296 abstracts binnen en zullen ergens rond de 325 of iets hoger uitkomen is de verwachting - De tracks emerging technologies en technologie transfer zijn erg matig bezet. Hier zullen we een aantal sessies samen moeten voegen. Hierop vooruitlopend hebben we besloten om de volgende tracks alvast meer slots te geven dan oorspronkelijk gepland - Calo +5 wordt 15 - Gas +5 wordt 15 - Exps en upgrades + 5 wordt 25. Voorgesteld wordt om dit te splitsen in twee tracks als alles binnen en beoordeeld is. - trigger +10 wordt 20. Conveners - De conveners zijn ingelicht over de verwachtte grootte van hun track. We moeten wel nog kijken wat we doen met de vele conveners in tracks 4 en 5 als we die samen gaan voegen. Misschien als er plek is een aantal van hen ook vragen voor een talk? Key-note speakers - 11 van de 20 slots zijn gevuld. Een aantal sprekers willen maar kunnen maar 1 of 2 dagen. - Dit willen we toestaan, mits ze wel de volledige conference fee voldoen. - Niels en Auke komen volgende week met een aantal spreker voorstellen. Sponsoring - Er zijn een aantal sponsors binnen: ASML, Philips, Wiener, CAEN & Scionix - Overlegd wordt nog met PANalytical, ASI en een aantal anderen. - Ruud Kluit probeert om een aantal firma's in de electronica hoek te benaderen waar hij goede contacten heeft, bv Keithley - Suggestie om Sytze te benaderen alsook Bruker en INCAS3 - Auke en Jan gaan hier volgende week mee verder. Proceedings - Paul heeft een aantal offertes binnen en de goedkoopste is Proceedings of Science. - Hier zijn goede ervaringen mee en hiermee blijven we met 3k euro 6k euro onder ons gebudgetteerde bedrag. Hi, Ik kreeg de vraag waarom de blok booking pas vanaf maandag geldig is. Iemand uit de VS kan de blok booking nu niet gebruiken omdat ze zondag al wil aankomen, wat wel logisch is. Is hier nog een mouw aan te passen? Groet, Jan

[Tipp2014-loc] aantal abstracts

Hallo allemaal, De deadline voor abstracts is nu officieel gesloten (maar men kan nog steeds abstracts uploaden). Vandaag zijn er nog 85 binnengekomen, waarmee het totaal op 397 komt. Er zit minstens 1 dubbel abstract tussen, mogelijk meer. De verwachting is dat er van het weekend nog wel een paar abstracts binnendruppelen. Een plot met de verdeling van de abstracts over de tracks hangt aan de mail. Het beeld is vergelijkbaar met dat van donderdag, met als positieve uitzondering dat er bij "health en healthcare" en "cooling" relatief veel abstracts bijgekomen zijn. Groet, Martin
