Dear Tipp2014,
I just tried to submit an abstract, but cannot as I do not have a
CERN account, and do not use personal social media accounts for
business.
Many US physicists will not have CERN accounts, and almost certainly most
US industrial partners and technical folks will not as well. The login
presents a real barrier for non-European detector folks in submitting
abstracts (this may be part of the reason you may have gotten fewer than
expected, if I can guess one reason for the recent delaying of the
deadline).
I couldn't find an easy way to get a CERN `lightweight' account-
would it be possible to get explicit instructions on how to submit an
abstract from the US? I think that making the TIPP page a little more
user-friendly for abstract submission would also help.
 				Many thanks,
