Dear Peter Krieger,
We are pleased to inform you that your contribution: Performance of the ATLAS liquid argon calorimeter after three years of LHC operation has been accepted for an Poster presentation in the track Sensors: 1a) Calorimetry.
We are looking forward to see you in Amsterdam,
Niels van Bakel, On behalf of the track conveners and the local organizing committee
Hello Niels,
Could you please clarify something for me? I've just received three emails to tell me that the three abstracts I submitted on behalf of the ATLAS Liquid Argon group were accepted as posters.
The request was, in all three cases, for an oral presentation. Was there some error in my abstract submission, or did you simply decide to only accept them as posters despite the request for oral presentations?
Many thanks,
Peter Krieger

Hello again Niels,
I never heard back from you in response to the mail I sent (copied below) regarding the acceptance of the three abstracts submitted by me on behalf of the ATLAS Liquid Argon calorimeter group.
Our speakers committee was rather surprised to have all three accepted only as posters, as we have always managed to get oral presentations in the past. Could you please confirm / clarify the situation for me? It will certainly affect our ability to identify speakers if these abstract are indeed accepted only as posters.
Regards,
Peter

Hello Niels,
Since I never heard back from you on this topic, I assume that none of our submissions were upgraded to oral presentations. Could you please confirm this. I have presenters for two of the abstracts but not for the third: I will probably have to withdraw the one that is uncovered. Do I do these things (submitting presenter names and withdrawing abstracts) on a conference web page, or via email to you?
Thanks,
Peter
