what to do with redundant books and journals?

Dear library committee members, Thanks to the enormous effort of Joan and Maria, the library reorganization is reaching the next stage: We are about to make the 'red' labeled books available to Nikhef personnel to take home. Anything that's left over will be discarded. It is on this last point that I could use some input. For instance, the Nikhef collection of bound journals is quite impressive, and may be worth something to somebody. For instance, Jeroen van Dongen was suggesting that a new university with a new library may be interested in this, if only to have something on display. There perhaps exists an international dealer for this kind of stuff, but I have not been able to find one yet. Joan has collected some images and made a spreadsheet, which you can find here: https://surfdrive.surf.nl/files/index.php/s/CfQKVWvciokoPP2 If you have ideas of how we could prevent the journals and books to end up in the shredder, please let me know.
