NIKHEF grid site back up

Hi *, From all I can tell, everything is back up here. Not all queues are open so if you try to directly select NIKHEF to run your job, it may not work immediately; I want to wait and see how the monitoring jobs perform before opening the queues wide. user interface usable for job submission

Hi *, our CE and SE resources are not yet up, but I have just tested job submission from ui03 / tbn12 through our RB (bosheks). I was able to run a job at SARA and retrieve the output. You should be able to do the same, as long as you don't require to run at NIKHEF or get data off our CE. More info as it comes in. JT

upgrade ongoing of NPDF production facility

Hi *, Sorry for the late announcement of this: the Grid services at NIKHEF are being upgraded right now. This means some things may not work. We are trying to get the user interface (ui03) up as soon as possible, so that you can still access the rest of the grid. We know that our storage element (tbn15 / se03) has problems right now. This was all officially registered as 'scheduled downtime' with LCG operations but apparently this does not filter down to actual users. Our estimated return to service is tomorrow morning but unfortunately we cannot guarantee this, this upgrade is a whopper. We will try not to forget the important people next time. JT
